grey velvet ("gray-v")

Laps are my favorite place!
Hello, my name is Grey Velvet. But all the new friends I have made since I came to Rescue call me Gravy (Get it? GreyV.) I like it!
I am supposed to say what kind of home I would like. That is SO easy. A nice quiet home with a lap! If you want someone to sit beside you while you read or watch TV or knit or anything you like to do—I’m your dog! I’m a pretty peaceful fellow. I just love to be near my humans. When I got older my eyes got all cloudy and I can’t see. But that’s OK; it doesn’t really bother me if I bump into things sometimes. I may not be able to see—but I can always find your lap. When I need to do my business I have learned to use a dog door or I can go out for a short time in a yard. I learned the dog door in my foster home. It is quite convenient so I don’t make mistakes!
You may wonder about my history. The wonderful human who loved and cared for me for my 14 years didn’t wake up one day. So I went to a place called a shelter. It was pretty big and a bit scary. Those nice people there called Rescue and I came my fun foster home. The only problem here is that the humans here keep getting up and ruining their laps! Then I sit quietly and wait. I like my foster siblings and the cat too. If you have a quiet home and a lap or two or three please fill out an application so we can meet.
Gravy is being fostered in Seattle, Washington. He is a darling who gets along fine with the cat and dogs in his foster home—but much prefers the company of humans.
Sooner is being fostered in the Seattle, WA area.
