Diva & Harlee

Diva & Harlee
Hello, I’m Diva and this is my soulmate, Harlee.
We're super easy going and love to snuggle together under blankets on the couch or on laps. We have a big cushioned bed that we hang out on and sleep on when our family is away or busy in our own private area with a gate in the doorway so we can see and hear everything and not feel separated. Our foster parents take down the gate when they are around but we still seem to like to hang out on our bed when we are just relaxing. We like to go potty outside, but have a potty pad near our sleeping area in case we need to use it in the night. We would love a doggy door that goes out to a fenced yard so we could easily get in and out without having the need for potty pads or bothering our family to take us out for a walk. My foster mom bought Harlee a new shirt as he is easily chilled and likes to be warm. I’m still fluffy enough that going without clothes to go outside for a walk is no problem.
We love car rides--either in a large crate together or in separate crates, (of course with blankets to snuggle in). Either way car rides are okay with us. We also enjoy walks together as we are both good leash walkers who are accustomed to walking side by side.
Since having all our dental work we feel so much happier plus we feel young again. We love eating our breakfast and dinner together, but need to be separated during meal times as Harlee eats slowly (maybe that’s why he’s a perfect iggy weight) and I’m on a weight loss plan as I am still a but chunky. I have been losing weight and the vet is happy about that too. I know swimsuit season is coming and I want to look my best. Harlee is just turning 8, and I've already had my 8th birthday.
We have a cat in the house who we don’t bother and a spunky Whippet who likes to cuddle and play with us occasionally. There is another Italian Greyhound in the house who is quite the princess who we like a lot, too. She likes her private space so we are very respectful. I might bark when meeting new furry friends or when someone’s at the door. Harlee lets me do all the “talking”. I stop pretty quickly once I see everything is okay.
We love our foster home and are also looking forward to meeting you and finding our new forever home. Come meet us! You won't be sorry.
Diva & Harlee are being fostered in the Portland, OR area. Washington/Oregon residents who want to begin the process to adopt an IGCA Rescue dog, please email us at igrfadopt@gmail.com to learn about the IGCA adoption process and receive an application, which may also be downloaded here: Download IGRF Rescue Application . We are always willing to consider placing a dog out of state, but applicants are asked to apply to and work with us through their local IGCA Rep.
