If you are interested in adopting a rescued Italian Greyhound, we suggest going through the adoption process to be approved and put on the wait-list.  Please go to your Adopt page and fill out an application. The wait time may vary depending on when dogs are released and how they are matched with approved adopters. Feel free to inquire if you have questions. Thanks so much for your interest in adopting a rescued Italian Greyhound.

Norma is having a blast with her foster brother and sister! She'll be available once her assessment and vetting are done. Stay tuned!

Beautiful Sophia just had surgery to repair a broken leg. She's settled in very well to her foster home and once her leg is healed and her dental is complete, she'll be ready for adoption. She's a trooper!

If you are looking for an Italian Greyhound under 2 years of age:

Most IGs that come into rescue are “middle aged” (6-9 years old) or seniors (10+ years). On the rare occasions when we have a puppy released to us, we are careful to place them in a home with IG or sighthound experience. Italian Greyhounds are difficult to housetrain and young IGs are prone to expensive leg breaks.  There is currently a waiting list for dogs under 2 years of age. The wait time can be a year or more. Another way to locate an IG pup is to contact a reputable breeder. Here is a link to reputable breeder referrals from the Italian Greyhound Club of America. https://italiangreyhound.org/find-an-ig/breeder-referrals/  We wish you every success in finding the perfect dog!
